My wife complains because she says I have too many computers. My problem is that I don't have enough.
Before I was married I had different times in my life where I found so many ways to use a computer. There was my progammer phase I tried to learn programming and write my own software. There was an artfull literary phase where I would play with digital art and write stories and play with desktop publishing. There was the "Gameing Phase" where I would have spent hours to days playing games in my free time. I still keep putzing around with the web phase to have my own web empire. And so many other experiences that I have realized how powerful and wonderful digital technology is.
But for all of you who would agree with my wife you probably would think "if only you could take all that energy and make some money off this hobbie of yours." Actually I have been working for a large company providing computer support for my customers for the past 9 years. My job has availed me to play with some really cool "toys" so that I can help people that need to use that "tool" more effectively in a professional enviornment because I have experienced its potential by playing around with it.
To me I have made it. I was able to turn my hobbie into a job. And I enjoy what I do. And my cusomers like me because of it.
